Jamie Cullum what a blast!

For Valentines day Juan bought me tickets to see Jamie Cullum. He is a British Jazz Artist who is amazing, he recently came out with his third CD. So Juan and I went to Portland for the weekend, we had a blast hanging out with family and nessie(our travel buddy). We stopped at REI of course and than went to the Crystal Ballroom. Our opening act was Imelda May who was a rockabilly style of music she was totally fun and vivacious. Juan and I enjoyed her music. Jamie came on and played alot of his new music which is different from his first two cd's but just the same Jamie puts on an amazing show he's jumping off the panio and getting into the crowd. Just picture a tiny englishman with a kicking voice. Check out his music he always a good time! Cheers ashley

What a Beautiful ring

I love etsy! When I feel like I want to explore the internet etsy is the first place I go, I've found so many creative ideas from the sellers. I was looking at wedding rings, because of a dream that I had about Juan giving me a ring so I found two rings that I would love to have. One is branch inspired and I love the simple lines of the twig and the diamond is placed nicely in an oval shape. The second is inspired by an Egyptian Queen, which I enjoyed and it reminds me of the dream. I hope you enjoy these amazing pieces of art. Ash

Wine of the day.

Walking down 2nd street Walla Walla, Juan and I passed by wine tasting room that echoed the swaying tunes of Bob Marley. Juan and I decided to go into the taste the local flavors of Walla Walla. Being in the wine industry I try to support all winery in WW. By the time I leave this great valley I hope to go to all 184 wineries. (I have high hopes) So Juan and I adventured into Sleight of Hand Cellars. When you walk in your eyes go straight to the vintage magic poster, and fun magic theme to all their wine labels. All of their wines were earthy and berry forward. Two of my favorites were there Gewurztaminer style wines one had high acid and nice sugars, which made it nice to pair with asian food or spicy thai food. The second one was a great sipper like an after dinner wine. Juan found a wonderful red wine as well. They called it a BBQ wine, which tasted fruit forward and spicy smokey hints of flavor. It was only $12-! I recommend their wines to anyone who wants a magical feel to their wine experience.

My First Blog!

I have been inspired by a friends blog recently so I decided to brave the blogging world. I love living in Walla Walla, Wa. The wine, the wheat, and small town quaintness always inspires me. I have a fox terrier named Nessie, after the Loch Ness Monster, my favorite loch in Scotland. I have been working recently on some new crafts, which I will post soon. But what I wanted to do with this blog is to write what inspires me, crafts, wine, and to get me to take more pictures. Cheers to you all. Ash
